By accessing or using File Cataloger ("the Software") and our website ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
File Cataloger is a file cataloging and analysis software that provides:
- File scanning and metadata extraction
- File type detection and verification
- AI-powered file analysis
- File recovery tools
- Credential and cryptocurrency detection
- Database management for scanned files
3. License Grant
3.1 Software License
Upon purchase of a valid license, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software subject to these terms and your license tier:
- Trial License: 3-day evaluation period, all features, 1 device
- Personal License: Perpetual use, 1 device activation
- Professional License: Perpetual use, 3 device activations
- Enterprise License: Perpetual use, 10 device activations
3.2 License Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the Software
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
- Rent, lease, or lend the Software to third parties
- Use the Software for illegal purposes
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices
- Share your license key with others
- Circumvent license activation mechanisms
4. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Providing accurate and current information
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Pricing
All prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change. Prices at the time of purchase will be honored.
5.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
5.3 License Delivery
Upon successful payment, your license key will be immediately available in your dashboard and sent to your email.

7. Intellectual Property
The Software, including all code, graphics, interfaces, and documentation, is owned byFile Cataloger and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8. User Content
You retain ownership of all files you scan with the Software. The Software processes files locally on your device and does not transmit file contents to our servers.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS
We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILE CATALOGER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
- Any damages exceeding the amount paid for the Software
- Data loss or corruption resulting from use of the Software
- Actions taken based on the Software's analysis or recommendations
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless File Cataloger, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Software
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
12. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Software to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on others' intellectual property rights
- Access systems or data without authorization
- Engage in any form of hacking or unauthorized access
- Distribute malware or malicious code
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your license immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Software is revoked
- You must cease all use and destroy all copies
- No refund will be provided for violations
14. Updates and Modifications
We may update the Software from time to time. Updates may be required to continue using the Software. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Software shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and File Cataloger regarding the Software.
